This third-semester module prepares students for their post-graduation path, whether it’s advanced research (PhD) or industry leadership (professional role/internship), with the goal of guiding them toward success in their chosen career. The key components include career seminars offering real-world insights, skill workshops for self-assessment, a Research Track covering PhD funding and proposal development, and an Industry Track providing advice on internship searches, CV refinement, interview preparation, and legal/ethical compliance. Upon completion, students will have a clear roadmap, including a refined Master’s Thesis topic or a targeted list of internship opportunities and professional goals.
Introduction to academic and professional pathways in the broad field of digital transformation; overview of research-oriented, design-oriented, technical, managerial, and industry-related trajectories; expectations and working practices in academic research, innovation projects, creative industries, and digital organisations; self-assessment of interests, strengths, and professional goals; academic profiling, portfolio development, CV and motivation statement preparation; communication and presentation of skills, projects, and experience; understanding of internships, doctoral studies, research careers, entrepreneurial directions, and industry roles; reflection on employability, professional identity, and career planning in interdisciplinary and international contexts; preparation for informed progression into thesis work, internship, research, or professional practice in the field.
