Semester: 4th
During the fourth semester, students will carry out a research project. Residencies and research lab positions depending on availability are offered to students to facilitate the completion of their Master’s thesis.
Independent development of an original Master’s-level research or applied project within the broader field of digital transformation design and management; selection and delimitation of a research problem or project focus; review and critical synthesis of relevant literature and prior work; design and implementation of an appropriate methodological or practice-based approach; collection, analysis, and interpretation of evidence, data, or design outcomes; development of argumentation, findings, and conclusions; production of a coherent written dissertation meeting academic standards of structure, documentation, and critical reflection; oral presentation and defence of the work before the competent academic body.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
Knowledge
- demonstrate advanced and specialised knowledge in a selected area of digital transformation;
- understand and critically engage with the relevant literature, theories, methods, and debates of the chosen topic;
- identify the scientific, professional, and/or societal relevance of the research problem addressed.
Skills
- formulate a clear and original research question or project objective;
- design and implement an appropriate methodology for investigating a complex problem;
- collect, analyse, interpret, and present findings in a coherent and academically rigorous manner;
- produce an extended written dissertation that meets Master’s-level standards of scholarship.
