Mandatory Elective 2 is one of the two 6-ECTS elective slots in Semester 3 for students pursuing only the Université Paris 8 degree. The two electives replace DT304 and DT305 on that pathway. Students pursuing the University of the Aegean degree, including double-degree students, take the two Design Studios instead.
The selected course must be at Master’s level and relevant to digital transformation. Eligible areas may include digital technologies, digital culture, creative practice, innovation, governance, data, interaction, design and socio-economic aspects of transformation. The particular subject is defined by the approved offering under Université Paris 8 responsibility.
The choice must complement the student’s programme and be distinct from the course used for DT306. The same completed course or assessed work cannot be counted in both elective slots.
The selected course’s official outline specifies its title and local code, subject-specific learning outcomes, syllabus, teaching arrangements, assessment and reading list. These details are made available before enrolment and are associated with this elective slot in the programme’s course information. The general learning outcomes below are supplemented by the selected course’s outcomes.
- The exact emphasis depends on the specific elective selected. In all cases, the course is expected to contribute to some of the following:
