This document sets out the course outlines for the cooperating Master’s programmes in Digital Transformation. It covers the shared curriculum, the Semester 3 alternatives and the fourth-semester requirements of each study pathway.
The University of the Aegean awards the Master’s Degree in Digital Transformation: Design & Management after 90 ECTS over three semesters. Université Paris 8 awards the Master’s Degree in Digital Transformation: Creation & Innovation after 120 ECTS over four semesters. Double-degree pathways satisfy the respective requirements of both institutions.
Semesters 1 and 2 are common to all four study pathways. The pathways differ in Semester 3 and, where applicable, Semester 4, as shown below.
| Pathway | Entry institution and award | Semester 3 | Semester 4 |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | University of the Aegean entry; Aegean degree; 90 ECTS | Core Courses + Design Studios | Not required |
| B | University of the Aegean entry; double degree; 120 ECTS | Core Courses + Design Studios | Workshop + Thesis or Internship |
| C | Université Paris 8 entry; Paris 8 degree only; 120 ECTS | Core Courses + Electives | Workshop + Thesis or Internship |
| D | Université Paris 8 entry; double degree; 120 ECTS | Core Courses + Design Studios | Workshop + Thesis or Internship |
Semesters 1 and 2 contain five common 6-ECTS courses each. Semester 3 contains three common 6-ECTS courses and either the two 6-ECTS Design Studios or the two 6-ECTS electives, according to the pathway. Students do not take both alternative pairs for the same 30-ECTS semester. Semester 4 comprises the 6-ECTS workshop and one 24-ECTS final activity.
Each taught course has 39 scheduled teaching hours. The workload tables distinguish scheduled teaching from independent study, project work and assessment; their totals represent the full student workload. Thesis and internship workloads are stated separately. Intensive and hybrid activities are organised in accordance with the programme timetable and regulations.
The two Design Studios are coordinated within Semester 3 and are assessed separately. For the Paris 8-only pathway, each elective slot is associated with a distinct approved course and its specific outline. The thesis and internship are alternatives in Semester 4.
